Facial treatments contra-indications

If you have any of the following then it may not be possible to carry out a facial. Please contact me if you need any clarification.

Contra-indications preventing facial treatment:

  • bacterial infections (impetigo, conjunctivitis and boils)
  • viral infections (herpes simplex and warts)
  • fungal infections (ringworm)
  • scabies and pediculosis
  • systemic medical conditions
  • severe skin conditions (inflamed psoriasis, eczema)
  • acne
  • eye infections
  • epilepsy (in the past 5 years)
  • chemotherapy
  • diabetes
  • botox in the last 6 weeks
  • facial fillers in the last 6 weeks
  • Cosmetic surgery
  • Sunburn

Contra-indications restricting facial treatment:

  • recent scar tissue
  • eczema/psoriasis
  • hyper-keratosis
  • skin allergies
  • open cuts/abrasions
  • bruising
